A Paperfinch adaptation of the Hans Christian Anderson fairytale takes place mostly inside the protagonist, 8 year old Billy’s brain. Creativity has been banned and his mind has been overthrown by the evil mouseykin regime. It’s up to the audience to work with the figments of Billys imagination in order to fulfil the nutcracker prophecy and help Billy overthrow the evil mice. Using 14 rooms in theatre Clwyd we created an adventure that travelled between the wild west, under the sea, outerspace and most inner cogs of Billys brain.
